Feast Day September 29
Michael is the leader of the angels in the war between God and the devil. He is ranked eighth in the hierarchy of angels. In the Book of Daniel, he’s described as the “Chief of Princes.” Michael is called upon for protection against evil and temptation to commit sin. Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel are the three angels mentioned in the bible, and the only known by name.
Small Snippet
Saint Michael, intercede to the Holy Ghost for protection from evil, especially when the small lies whisper into my fatigue, fears, tiredness, and anxieties.

Photo
Taken at Holy Innocents Roman Catholic Church in New York City.
Owl Reference
I was inspired by this photo of an owl hunting for its dynamic pose.
I took these photos in Ireland, and they symbolize power, strength, and fierceness.
Gladiolus Flowers
Snake Reference
I drew this snake to symbolize Satan as he’s crushed by Michael in combat.
This was my first illustration of Michael. I wanted to modify him to match my other work more with the collage feel of it.
