Feast Day February 23

Polycarp was a disciple of John, the gospel writer. He was an advocate for making Easter its own holy day to celebrate beyond Sunday. In his elder years, he was captured by local pagans, whom he fed at a farmhouse. Polycarp was subsequently tied up and burned at the stake. Witnesses testified that the flames had no effect on him, causing him to be stabbed to death.

Small Snippet

Saint Polycarp, intercede to the Holy Ghost that my distractions may be wiped away. That I may be free from all voices outside the truth, and that the truth may be magnified within me.

I took these in Sunnyside, my neighborhood.

Nathaniel was one of the first designs I made. This was back when I tried using banners and much wackier colors.
